Former TJRC chairman Bethuel Kiplagat is dead
Former Truth, Justice and Reconciliation Commission chairman Amb Bethuel Kiplagat is dead.
Mr Kiplagat died at 3am on Friday morning at the Nairobi Hospital after a long illness.
Amb Kiplagat was 81.
His death come days after the passing of after former Kanu-era ministers G.G Kariuki and Nicholas Biwott all at the same hospital.
Mr Kariuki’s burial is set for today, Friday.
Former Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery also passed on last week and will be buried tomorrow, Saturday.
Mr Biwott’s burial date is yet to be announced.
A career diplomat, Amb Kiplagat is a former Permanent Secretary in the Foreign Affairs ministry and was once appointed the special envoy to the Somalia Peace Talks.
He also served as the Chancellor of Egerton University.
