Four thugs killed in Karen after police chase from Kayole


Four suspected thugs were on Tuesday morning shot and killed by police in Karen after they were trailed from Kayole.

According to a police report, the suspects had stolen a motor vehicle and were planning to commit a robbery in Karen.

An AK 47 rifle with 8 bullets was recovered from the suspects.

A combined unit from Buruburu and Kayole police station trailed and intercepted the gang before they could commit any crime.

Police also recovered a mobile phone believed to have been stolen from a member of the public in Kayole.

GANG’S MOVEMENT

Undercover detectives seemed to have been tipped of the gang’s movements and trail them for hours before the shootout near Waterpark area at about 2.30 am.

The gang is believed to have been behind a series of robbery incidents in Karen.

The bodies were taken to city mortuary.

In Huruma area, a suspected thug was also shot dead in a botched robbery incident.

And two suspected thugs were lynched by a mob in Embakasi area, Nairobi.

The two were part of a gang that had been attacking and robbing residents when an alarm was raised Monday evening.
