Full list of areas that will experience power interruptions

Four regions will today, September 27, 2023, experience a power blackout.

In a list seen by Nairobi News, Nairobi Region was top on the region and the area that will be affected is Kitusuru.

Specific areas within Kitusuru that will not have power are; Gachie, Kirawa Road, Parts of Ngecha, Nyari South Estate, Thigiri Ridge, Parts of Kitusuru Road, Spring Valley Road, New Muthaiga Estate, and adjacent customers.

Dandora Area will also be without electricity.

Parts of Kiambu County will also be affected by the power interruptions. The specific areas that will be without electricity include; Nazareth Hospital, Riara Ridge, Gatono, Itungi Village, Kawaida, Ebenezer, Milimani, Black Petal, Utte Farm, Kawamwaki Farm, Sycamore, Broom Hill Water, Dam Ten.

Others include; Brook Hill School, Takataka Solution, and adjacent customers.

In the South Nyanza region, parts of Migori County which include Kehancha and Ntimaru will be affected by the power interruptions.

The specific areas that will be affected include; Migori Airstrip, KEFRI, Nyanchabo, Masaba, Nyamamagagana, Karutyange, Ikerege, Tarawiti, Koego, Nyametarubo and Nyamaranya.

Other places include; Karosi, Kehancha Town, St. Kizito, Maeta, Kegonga, Igena, Nyabikongori, Kebarisia, Mosweto, Nyamutiro, Kebaroti, Makararangwe, Ntimaru and adjacent customers.

In the Mount Kenya Region, parts of Kirinyaga County will spend the whole day without electricity. The specific areas include; Mutitu, Ematex, Kerugoya Boys, Kukena, Cliff Neck, Shell Petrol Station, Kirigo, Maruti Rice Mill, Kimunge, Mukinduri, and Mombasa Ndogo.

Others within the same area that will experience the power interruptions are; Starwood, Kapendeso, Kamuiri Secondary School, Karugo, St Banabas Kaharo, and adjacent customers.

Since the start of the year, the Kenya Power Company has been making similar announcements that specific areas will run without electricity.

Whenever there is a power blackout most businesses suffer especially those that must run with the availability of electricity.

The power interruptions leave the business owners counting losses.
