Gengetone greats to headline Guinness new campaign launch
One of Kenya’s leading beer brands Guinness Smooth has announced a new campaign launch as the ‘Easy-going, Smooth-flowing’ beer which is set to kick off on October 8, 2022, at TRM Rooftop.
Featuring remarkable Kenyan artistes Wakadinali, Chris Kaiga, and Le Band, Guinness Smooth will bring to life what the “Smooth flowing, easy going” campaign is all about. As the go-to beer of choice for younger consumers, Guinness Smooth will be providing an action-packed night-lit with vibes.
The launch will also be featuring other musical stars including Veryl Mkali, DJ Daq Child, and DJ Sir M.
Speaking on behalf of the brand, Guinness Marketing Manager, Wanjiru Murage said that the new campaign aims to reel their consumers into an easy-going life that is greatly encapsulated by the perfect blend of malt beverage that is Guinness Smooth.
“We believe that life is best enjoyed with an easy-going positive outlook, a playful spirit, and an openness to flow smoothly with new possibilities. Guinness Smooth is the perfect blend of rich malty notes balanced with sweetness to create a flavourful beer with an extra smooth finish,” said Murage.
She added that the event set to kick off over the weekend is basically a celebration of Guinness Smooth where their consumers get to have a look and feel of what the beer offers beyond just the great taste.
“We have curated this event to celebrate the smoothness of our beer and give our drinkers nothing but good vibes so they can create beautiful meaningful experiences together whilst they enjoy the delicious and smooth taste of Guinness Smooth,” she said.
Guinness Smooth was first launched in Kenya back in 2019 by the Kenya Breweries Limited (KBL) in addition to the Guinness Family in Kenya. It was still around that time that KBL had launched Guinness Hop House 13 lager, and Guinness Extra Foreign Stout, which brings the Guinness brands that KBL sells in Kenya to three.
Guinness Smooth offers all the character of Guinness stout with an extra smooth finish, rich in malty flavors and hints of sweetness which balance perfectly in the swirl of countless minute bubbles.
The beer was initially launched in Dublin in 2003 and has been developed by the Guinness master brewers with the support of KBL’s brewing team in Kenya.
