Good neighbour stabbed to death while separating fighting couple
A man was stabbed to death on Sunday night when he tried to intervene in a fight between a husband and a wife in Lunga Lunga slums, Nairobi.
The deceased, Stephen Ndungu Njoroge 28, went to separate the couple when he was stabbed on the neck by Mr David Macharia Mwangi.
He died on the way to the hospital.
Mr Mwangi had picked a quarrel with his wife Lucy Njeri Njuguna 41, at around 8.45 p.m which resulted into a physical fight.
On hearing the commotion, the deceased, who was their neighbour, decided to rush to their house to separate them.
Police say the knife has not been traced.
Ms Njuguna and son Lawrence Macharia have recorded statements with the police
