Governor’s Christmas tree gets a Sh3m boost

Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero on Wednesday received a cheque of Sh3 million from the National bank for the Governor’s Christmas tree.

The cheque was presented by National Bank of Kenya managing director Munir Ahmed.

The governor Christmas tree is a non-profit initiative that receives money from corporates and well off city residents.

Proceeds are used to run the county government’s charity work.

This year’s collection will be distributed to organizations supporting the destitute.

Part of the money will also be used for the Kenya@50 celebrations.
