Grandpa Records have moved into their new offices in Kibera’s Olympic estate.
Until last Friday, the popular record label was operating from a smaller studio in Makina estate.
Area MP Ken Okoth and Youth Enterprise Development Fund director Gor Semelang’o officiated the launch.
Among musicians who attended the event included Lenny, DNA, Nga’ang’alito, Fundi Frank and other upcoming artistes.
Meanwhile, the youth fund has set aside Sh300 million for promotion of the music industry.
“We have already launched a Sh300 million fund for the film industry, and we have the same amount for music,” said Semelang’o.
