Guards injured as gangsters make away with equipment at Tatu City


Construction equipment of unknown value was on Sunday stolen from the Tatu City construction site in Ruiru in an incident that left three guards injured.

Two of the guards who were badly injured have been admitted at a hospital while the gangsters responsible for the attack are still at large.

The incident was reported by members of the public and when police responded they only found injured guards while the equipment were already missing.

Among the stolen equipment were alternators and three starters of excavators.

STABBED

In Kawangware, a cafeteria owner reported to the police on Monday that two of his employees fought and one of them stabbed his colleague.

“One John Oywer aged 26 years was stabbed on his belly by his workmate namely Joseph Kimatho aged 20 years. Angry mob turned to Joseph and was beaten and left unconscious,” read a police report.

Both employees are admitted at the Kenyatta National Hospital in serious conditions.

In Narok County, 38 children and dozens of adults from the same village are being treated in hospital after consuming a dead cow.

The cow is suspected to have had Anthrax and its consumption saw an entire village fall sick.

“18 people were admitted at Olgemenyo health center, eleven others had been treated and discharged while 28 adults were treated at Ololunga District hospital and 38 children were undergoing treatment at the same hospital,” read the police report from Melelo.
