Gunman who raped girl as family watched still at large
An armed robber who defiled a 12 year old girl in Ngong on Thursday is still at large.
The robber was part of a five-man gang that had stormed the girl’s home in Bondeni area robbing her family household goods.
The robber proceeded to rape the school girl as her family watched.
The girl was rushed to Nairobi Women Hospital in Ongata Rongai and is said to be in a stable condition.
Ngong OCPD Farah Mohammed said that the girl’s mother was also injured in the leg during the robbery.
He said that police are still pursuing the gang.
Meanwhile two suspected gang were arraigned in Kibera court in connection with the robbery of a vehicle belonging to husband of athlete Vivian Cheruiyot.
The two are suspected to be behind the robbing of Moses Kiplagat’s a Prado and cash amounting to ksh 350,000.
The suspects were arrested in Kakamega in possession of the stolen vehicle.
Mr Kiplagat was robbed at gunpoint while driving to his home in Ngong.
The gunmen had abandoned him in Nkoroi near Ongata Rongai at night before giving him ksh 1,000 for bus fare.
