Gunmen on bike captured on camera shooting dead and robbing M-Pesa agent
Detectives in Mombasa have launched a manhunt for two armed men who shot dead an M-Pesa agent and stole an unknown amount of money along Moi Avenue in Mombasa.
According to police reports, the 25-year-old Winnie Ombese was shot on the chest.
CCTV footage which captured the shooting shows that the incident happened on Friday around 8:30 am.
Witnesses say that Ombese, who worked at Shash Limited, was headed to the bank to deposit money before starting the day’s business.
She succumbed to the gunshot wounds while being rushed to Coast General Teaching and Referral Hospital.

From the CCTV footage, a man is seen alighting from a motorcycle and trying to snatch a bag from Ombese, who attempts to flee but is then shot with an AK47 rifle.
The shooter then swiftly grabs the bag from Ombese who has fallen to the ground.
The man and his accomplice then flee the scene on a motorbike which had been waiting along as the robbery happened.
Mombasa DCI boss Anthony Muriithi said the gangsters made away with an unknown amount of money.
