Gunshots fired as police disperse chaotic crowd at ODM meeting – PHOTOS
Police were forced to fire in the air when an ODM meeting in Migori’s Posta grounds turned chaotic on Monday afternoon.
Chaos erupted when Governor Okoth Obado arrived at the venue accompanied by his bodyguards. Some people in the crowd threw water bottles at him, prompting his bodyguards to fire in the air.
Leaders who included Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho, Senators Prof Anyang Nyongo, James Orengo and MPs Junet Muhammed and Joseph Kobado were whisked away by their bodyguards soon after chaos erupted.
