Here is the Bible verse every Kenyans will happily use to bail out of Michuki rules
The reintroduction of the dreaded Michuki rules has seen many Kenyans motorists and passengers forced to pay instant fines for flouting minor traffic offences.
Since the resumption of the Michuki rules, early this month several traffic offenders have been arrested and fined.
Thankfully, the ever witty Kenyans on social media have dug up a verse from the Bible which they believe should be applicable whenever you find yourself on the wrong side of the traffic rules.
BRIBING POLICE
Mathew 5:25 is the verse which should win you your liberty when you get caught up by the punitive Michuki rules.
In the New International Version (NIV), verse reads:
“Settle matters quickly with your adversary who is taking you to court. Do it while you are still together on the way, or your adversary may hand you over to the judge, and the judge may hand you over to the officer, and you may be thrown into prison.”
Which is just as well for many Kenyans who find it more convenient to bribe a police officer than getting locked up for a small offence.
