Here is why Nairobi women should never date Mombasa men
A Kenyan woman on TikTok going by the name Mc Akondee has given Nairobi women reasons why they should be wary of dating men from Mombasa County.
According to the TikToker, it has everything to do with the lifestyle of coastal men. She went on to give a breakdown of the daily schedule of men form the coast.
“If you are a woman from Nairobi or a woman from the coastal region and you want to date a guy from Mombasa, let me give you their daily schedules. When he wakes up, the first thing is atafute mahamri na mbaazi za nazi limeshiika na limekolea. At noon, apike wali wake na kata shingo (a type of omena) au mafungu. Between 3pm and 4pm, he will go looking friend potatoes and porridge. Uji huo umekolea ngano ya ki sure. If he fails to get porridge, he will make tamarind juice and more fried potatoes. Yani apunguze mateso na jua la Mombasa,” the TikToker said.
“At 5pm onwards, he will look for his jaba (khat) and chewing gum, some are now even eating it with mosquito insecticides. I don’t know if its true but they’re also using ginger and their work at their jaba base is to check out and judge women for their body shapes. This is the daily life of men from Mombasa County. Jaba is number one,” she went.
The TikToker’s sentiments stirred a live debate with many interpreting it as implying that Mombasa men are lazy.
“Acha tubaki na hawa wa Nairobi budget ya supper pekee yake,” Li Neshier responded.
“As a msichana wa Mombasa I can attest, yotee ni ukweli,” said Farha Khan.
“Yani mda wa kufanya kazi haupo kabisa,” Jay Ruff commented.
“Na umesahau watafute wanawake walio na wazungu ili walipiwe rent,” said Getrude.
“Ndio maana sisi wa Mombasa twaenda date wa Nairobi… jaba kila siku generator haifanyi kazi na ikifanya haizimi,” said Bubbles.
“That’s a life of a rich man who can afford more than four meals a day,” said Governor Fundi Konde.
