Here’s the list of 89 gangs banned by CS Nkaiserry


Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery has outlawed 89 organized criminal groups in the country.

In a gazette notice published on Friday, the CS said he made the decision on the advice of the Inspector-General of National Police Service Joseph Boinnet.

“IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by section 22 (1) of the Prevention of Organized Crimes Act, 2010, the Cabinet Secretary for Interior and Co-ordination of National Government hereby, on the advice of the Inspector-General of National Police Service, declares the groups specified in the Schedule hereto to be organized criminal groups for the purposes of the Act,” said Mr Nkaissery.

The banned groups are 42 brothers, Acrobatic, Akapulo, Akili za Usiku, American marines, Bad men, Baragoi Boys, Beasts, Black Latino, Bongo Rongo, Boston Boys, Bulanda Boys, Chap Ilale, Chifu Kali, Chimoi Highway Gang, China Squad, Chini ya Mnazi, Chunga Chunga, Colombo, Confirm Group, Cool Base, Corner Stars, Culture Boys, Egypt Boys, Eleven Crazy (Mji Mkubwa), Elite, Eminants of mungiki, Five Fingers, G15, Gaza.

Others include, Mafuguli Gogo Team, Marachi Republican Council, Masaa soo, Masenari, Matakwer, Mawaiyo, Mayakuza, Memory/mbele yao Gang, Mkuki, Mossad, Ngundu River Boys, Nzoia Railway Gang, Quick Response Group, Rambo Kanambo, Rangers FC, Rounder seniors, Sanfit, Sarogeza, Seven Lions, Sikujui, Sixty Four, Smart,Smarter, Spanish Boys, Super power, SWAT, Taliban Boys, Tek Mateko, Temeke, Tiacha Group.
