Glitz as ex-Sonu leader weds Citizen radio presenter


Former Student Organization of Nairobi University (SONU) Chairman David Osiany got married to Radio Citizen’s Syombua Mwele on Sunday in a colourful ceremony attended by a hosts of politicians.

The wedding was held at Nairobi Central SDA Church and the reception was at Wander Joy Gardens along Kiambu road.

The ceremony was attended by Cord leader Raila Odinga who was accompanied by Mombasa Senator Omar Hassan, former Rongo MP Dalmas Otieno as well as Mbita MP Millie Adhiambo.

Osiany proposed to Syombua for months ago in dramatic style while the latter was on air hosting her daily radio show Chapa Kazi with her co-host, Jerida Andayi.

The show’s audience were treated to a background of cheers from Syombua’s colleagues after she accepted the proposal.

Osiany’s bride once had a stint at Citizen TV as a sports anchor.
