High Court Judge disowns Facebook ‘porn hub’

By HILARY KIMUYU September 28th, 2016 1 min read

The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has cautioned members of the public against a fake Facebook account bearing the name of one of its commissioners, which is sharing explicit messages.

The commission, in a statement on Wednesday, said the account purporting to belong to JSC commissioner Justice Aggrey Muchelule was not genuine.

“The Commission wishes to notify the general public that on 27th September 2016, a Facebook account purporting to belong to Commissioner Judge Aggrey Muchelule was created,” said head of communication at JSC, Morton Saulo.

“We have noted the phony account manager is posting obscene content on the timeline. Being a public figure, the account is tainting the Commissioner’s image and reputation.”

Justice Muchelule was in October 2013 elected to represent judges and magistrates at the powerful JSC, replacing Justice Isaac Lenaola whose three-year term at the commission had expired.

The judge beat four others in the elections, which were conducted by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission during the Kenya Magistrates and Judges Association annual conference in Nairobi.
