Hollywood actress Salma Hayek tours Kibera slums in Kenya visit


American Hollywood actress Salma Hayek is in Kenya.

Hayek is in the country to support the initiatives and mission of SHOFCO.

She has been a consistent champion of female rights and began her philanthropy for women’s and girls’ rights when Gucci founded CHIME for CHANGE, an organization that aims to bring people together across borders and generations to unite in the fight for gender equality.

News of her tour was first shared by flamboyant advocate Donald Kipkorir through social media saying that he was honored to have spent time with the visiting star alongside other notable names including Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru, Minister for Health Hon. Nakhumicha Wafula and media personality Terryanne Jebet.

“Last evening, I spent intimate time at the invitation of my BFFs Kennedy Odede & Jessica Odede as they hosted Salma Hayek Pinault to a private evening in private space provided by my friend Ciiru Waweru Waithaka,” he shared.

The Mexican-Lebanese descending actress, Salma Hayek Pinault, is well-known for her roles in Frida (2002), Once Upon a Time in Mexico (2003), Puss in Boots (2011), Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard (2021), The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard (2021) House of Gucci (2021) and a lot more movies.

The mother of one is married to François-Henri Pinault, a French billionaire businessman and chairman and CEO of Kering, a French-based multinational corporation specializing in luxury goods.
