How Namwamba’s loud silence following ex-wife’s death sparked speculation
For a week since the news of the death of his estranged wife, Prisca Mwaro Namwamba, Cabinet Secretary for Youth Affairs, Sports and the Arts, Ababu Namwamba, did not mourn publicly.
This generated much gossip and speculations about what was going on in the Namwamba household, considering the CS is active on social media and often shares content about his personal and private life.
At the time of her death, it was reported that Prisca had been in and out of hospital.
Sports Principal Secretary Jonathan Mueke, has since condoled with the Namwamba family.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted (Psalms 34:18 ). Spent this evening with Waziri Ababu Namwamba at his residence and passed my condolences following the death of his wife. May the Lord comfort you during this difficult moment,” said PS Mueke as he also shared photos from Namwamba’s home.
The requiem mass was held earlier this week with Mr Namwamba, his two young sons and daughter in attendance.
The late Mwaro died on March 8, 2023, a day after celebrating her birthday. It was reported that she was found dead in her Nairobi home and her remains moved to MP Shah Hospital mortuary.

Ms Mwaro and Mr Namwamba separated in 2018 after eight years of marriage when the deceased is said to have left their matrimonial home.
Apparently, their families’ efforts to reconcile them hit a snag as revealed by one of the late
One of Mwaro’s siblings, efforts to reconcile that two failed largely due to Mr Namwamba position on the matter. Until her death, Ms Mwaro was an administrator at Kengen.
