How Betty Kyallo ended TV comeback rumors
After days of speculation, Betty Kyallo has finally ended rumors about her return to TV screens.
The former news anchor, who left anchoring duties three years ago, was rumored to replace veteran reporter Francis Gachuri on Citizen TV.
However, Betty has now confirmed that it was all about the relocation of her beauty boutique.
In a creative video announcement posted on her various social media outlets, Betty wore her anchoring clothes. She narrated the move of her beauty saloon to a new home, TV-style.
Betty is known for being a social media influencer of note. She knows how to enthrall the netizens and have them eating out of her hands.
Another social media campaign she carried out successfully was for the launch of Summer House in Karen.
She did it so well that netizens thought she owned the posh and upmarket club.
The restaurant launch was attended by President Ruto’s daughters, Charlene and Stephanie. Patoranking was the headliner at the event hosted on November 18, 2022.
However, weeks later, the club ran into problems with the residents of Karen.
In the statement from the Karen Lang’ata District Association seen by Nairobi News from chairperson Silalteh Samora read,
“We are aggrieved that The Summer House which opened its doors to the public two months ago, did not follow the prerequisite process when seeking to develop the property as is required by the law.”
According to the association, there was no change of user from residential to commercial sought from the National Environmental Management Authority (NEMA), or county government.
Also, the association claims that there was no public participation for the residents to give their opinion before establishing the facility.
“No public announcement in any daily newspaper was made notifying members of the public about The Summer House development.”
