How MP slapped Helicopter Church bishop in tussle over Sh3m lorry – witness


A court in Nairobi was on Thusrday told how Mwingi Central MP Joe Mutambu slapped Bishop Thomas Wahome of Helicopter Church Ministries.

A police officer told the court that the MP slapped the preacher in his office where Bishop Wahome had gone to claim a lorry he had leased to Mr Mutambu.

The police officer testified that he witnessed the incident that happened along Machai Drive.

The MP is accused of assault and stealing a lorry valued at Sh3.3 million that belongs to Bishop Wahome.

Mr Mutambu has denied both counts.

The court allowed an application by the prosecution to have the lorry kept at Kilimani police station till the case is concluded.
