How President Ruto is celebrating his birthday

President William Ruto has turned 56 years today. The Head of State is the fifth President of the Republic of Kenya and he is currently serving his first term after winning the August 9, 2022, General Election.

President Ruto is the son of the late Daniel Cheruiyot and Mrs Sarah Cheruiyot. He is married to Ms Rachel Ruto.

On this day, President Ruto will launch a major tree planting campaign in Ngong Hills, Kajiado County.

Two months ago, the Head of State asked Kenyan to ensure that they plant trees whenever their children are celebrating their birthdays.

“Every parent should plant 100 trees for their child during birthday celebrations. We are facing a severe drought that has never been witnessed in 40 years as a result of climate change,” President Ruto said.

First Lady Rachel Ruto led Kenyans in wishing the Head of State a happy birthday with a loving message to her husband.

She also revealed that today also happens to be wedding anniversary and she is grateful to God for her husband.

Others who sent birthday wishes to the president include nominated Senator Ms Karen Nyamu.

“Happy birthday Mr President and my boss HE William Samoei Ruto, the most genuine human being I know and a passionate workaholic Kenya is blessed to have at the helm. Thank you for teaching us courage and ruthless focus. Thank you for mentoring us and for never hesitating to reprimand us whenever we err. I have no doubt that yours is the tenure that will be felt by many generations to come,” Ms Nyamu wrote on Facebook.

“Happy birthday Mr President. May you live to blow many many more candles,” former Kirinyaga Woman Rep Wangui Ngirici wrote, while blogger and digital strategist Denis Itumbi said, “happy birthday Mr President.”
