Hustle before the fame: Jimal’s ex-wife, Amira, was a casual laborer in Dubai
On October 24, 2022, Amira, the estranged wife to the infamous Jimal Marlow alias Rohosafi and mother to their two sons, took to Instagram to reveal which job she held for years in Dubai before she became a famous socialite in Kenya.
Amira posted a photo of herself holding a trash picker and a long handle dust pan in her Instagram stories while posing in front of the world-famous landmark building, Burj al Arab, behind her.
“Keep clapping for others until it’s your turn,” Amira captioned the photo.

She did this as she celebrated new wins in renovating her home located in the Nairobi Metropolitan area.
Amira had been renovating the exterior to add in new flooring, potted plants, an outdoor gazebo, and new furniture for the front yard of her compound.
“The real definition of ‘mchumia juani hulia kivulini’…No situation is permanent. I don’t have the best of everything but I thank God for I’ve come a long way.

Nikikumbuka I used to work at Mall of Emirates for a salary of 54k (in an unnamed currency), and that was supposed to cater for all my bills. Alhamdulillah, I count my blessings,” added Amira.
She lived and worked in Dubai for six years before returning to Kenya. She has been home for two years now.
Amira is counted as one of the well-off socialites in Kenya.
Her followers often admire her home to the point of attracting the attention of producers and the host of KTN Home’s Art of Living show which exclusively showed off her home in January 2022.
She told the show host, Nailantei Kenga, that she designed her palatial home, opted for an Arabic theme, and imported most of her furniture from Egypt and China.

Many years after the casual laborer job, Amira now lives in splendor, driving a high-end vehicle and jet sets around the world for vacations.
Recently, Nairobi News reported that Amira went on holiday to locations such as Istanbul, Turkiye, and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.
It was during this time that she fell sick and had to be admitted to a Dubai hospital before she could return home from a trip cut short.
