Hustlers now want to dine and wine with Ruto at his inaugural party
The common members of the public who have referred themselves as hustlers have asked the Transition Committee chaired by the Head of the Public Service Dr Joseph Kinyua to ensure that they have been invited to president-elect William Ruto’s inaugural party at State House.
Through a statement, Food Soldiers and Diehard supporters of Hustler Association leader Kunyiha Kunyiha asked Dr Kinyua to ensure that mama mbogas or hustlers have their table during the ceremony.
“We ask the transition committee led by Dr Joseph Kinyua to ensure even those invited to the State House for the inaugural party don’t leave out mama mboga or hustlers. Ensure representation,” Kunyiha said.

They have also asked the president-elect to keep his promise of an all-inclusive government as he plans to name his Cabinet, saying the politics of deceit is now over.
“We have many Governors, Senators, Members of the Parliament who have been elected because hustlers believed in you and your deputy… we request you and your deputy to ensure that those who stood with you are rewarded.”
Further, the association has asked Dr Ruto to ensure that the promise that was made by his deputy Rigathi Gachagua of “mchele na nyama” celebration is fulfilled and devolved.

“Indeed, we hustlers have suffered a lot, and at times had to put with one meal a day. We request that on Tuesday, September 13, the celebrations be devolved. To actualize this, all governors are required to facilitate a free ‘mchele na nyama’ in all respective county headquarters.”
During his campaigns, Dr Ruto branded himself as a Chief-Hustler, saying that he rose from a chicken seller to where he has reached.
He severally associated himself with the small-scale traders in the country, saying his government would belong to all hustlers.
Dr Ruto will take his oath of office on Tuesday, with preparations in top gear. The military is also rehearsing ahead of the change of guard when President Uhuru Kenyatta will hand over power to Dr Ruto.
