‘I wish I met him…’ MP Jalang’o regrets the demise of TikToker Brian Chira
Lang’ata Member of Parliament Phelix Odiwuor, known as Jalang’o, has expressed deep regret that he was unable to help the late TikToker Brian Chira when he asked for help.
In an interview, the MP was responding to a viral video of Chira asking him for help.
Unfortunately, Jalang’o only came across the video after the TikToker’s tragic death.
“It pains me to discover a video of Chira asking for my help after his death. Many people tagged me in it after his death. I wish I had seen it sooner,” said Jalang’o.
Reflecting on Chira’s untimely death, Jalang’o stressed the importance of celebrating people while they are alive, rather than only celebrating them in death.
“I wish I had the chance to have a conversation with him to understand his needs better. It really hurts that I saw the video too late,” said Jalang’o.
Jalang’o offered advice to content creators and artists, urging them to prepare for both prosperous and challenging times. He warned that success in these fields is fleeting and that new talent will always emerge.
Drawing a comparison with content creator Crazy Kennar, Jalang’o acknowledged that Kennar is currently eclipsing him, highlighting the cyclical nature of success.
He likened this to the political arena, where one could be a sitting MP today and face defeat in the next election.
“Be prepared for the rainy season and the dry season. Adaptability is crucial to navigate the different phases,” Jalang’o advised.
Chira met a tragic end in a fatal road accident, allegedly hit by a speeding truck as he left an entertainment venue.
Tragically, the pathologist’s report revealed the devastating extent of Chira’s injuries, revealing ruptures in his heart, lungs and kidneys following the fatal accident.
As a final tribute to his memory, Brian Chira was laid to rest on his grandmother’s ancestral land in Gitei village, Gathanje, Kiambu County, surrounded by loved ones and admirers from the content creation community.
