40 illegal immigrants arrested in Kayole


Police have arrested 40 Ethiopians who were in the country illegally. The illegal immigrants were arrested on Wednesday evening in Mana estate, Kayole.

Police said they received a tip off from members of the public that there were suspicious men crammed on a small house.

The immigrants, aged between 10 and 25 years, could neither speak English nor Kiswahili, according to the police.

Police are investigating how they arrived in the country after they were found without any documentation from relevant immigration authorities.

The immigrants are currently being held at Kayole Police Station as they try to look for an interpreter.

MURDER

In Pangani, a man was arrested on Wednesday night on suspicion of murder after he secretly transferred a sick woman from Marie Stopes clinic to another private clinic where she died under mysterious circumstances.

The woman had been taken to the said clinic by her husband after she complained of stomach pain.

According to the police, the husband left and when he came back found that the said man had transferred his wife to a different clinic without his consent. The suspect is being held at Pangani Police Station as investigation continue.
