Infinix Mobility, which is one of the fast-growing technology brand, used the Churchill@40 event last Friday hyped their latest gadget in Kenya Infinix Zero 5.
The global unveiling of the Zero 5, Infinix’s latest flagship model, took place in Dubai a week ago and in Kenya they have partnered with local e-commerce giant Jumia Kenya.
Zero 5 marks Infinix Mobility’s entry into the dual back camera phones market with the back camera proving to be a must-have feature in smartphone going by the latest trends.
The event styled under the theme of ‘Stay True’ – took place at the Carnivore restaurant with a few lucky people walking home with a free phone courtesy of Infinix and the Churchill Show.
“The Zero series at large has been our flagship product globally by virtue of its innovative features and validates our R&D prowess. It has witnessed brilliant performance in key global markets such as Middle East, Africa, South East Asia,” Global Head of Infinix, Benjamin Jiang, said during the launch in Dubai.
He added that their vision was to take smartphone photography to a level where it bridges the gap between amateur and professional photography.
KEY HIGHLIGHTS
The key highlights of this new device include the focus on power deliverability and a fluid performance.
Random access memory (RAM) in this series is doubled to six gigabytes of DDR4 from the previous Zero 4’s three gigabytes.
With its innovative design, incredible dual camera, 2x Optical zoom and overall performance, the Infinix Zero 5 bridges the narrowing gap between smartphone and tablet, and the company believes that their new device speaks to the middle Class consumer demand in the Dual-camera smartphone segment.
The Chinese company is trying to target a new generation of customers and firmly believes that the Zero 5’s innovative design and features – particularly the camera – will shock the industry and offer Best-in-Class products in the smartphone sector.
Using Android’s Nougat operating platform, the Zero 5 boasts an optical Zoom Dual camera and massive 16 MP front-facing cameras, rear fingerprint scanner and protective screen features.
SELFIE CAMERA
The Zero 5’s rear dual camera uses both a 12 MP wide-angle lens and a 13 MP telephoto lens, with a 2x optical zoom and 5x digital zoom, and an f/2.0 aperture.
There is also a special Portrait Master Mode that uses an RGBW sensor and multi-frame noise reduction technology to assist users in capturing the perfect hero shot.
But the jaw-dropping feature of the Zero 5 is unquestionably the front camera, or as Infinix has dubbed it, the ‘Selfie Camera’. The selfie cam is a mega 16 MP four-in-one camera – with an LED flash to boot.
Infinix expects the 16 MP front camera to take things to a new level and become a must-have accessory for selfie lovers.
The Infinix Zero 5 Pro shares a lot with its sibling the Zero 5, such as the dual cameras that are a combination of a wide-angle lens and a telephoto lens for 10x zoom, USB-C charging standard among other features that are quite impressive at that price point.
Internal storage comes in two variants, the base model holds 64GBs while the pro model doubles that to 128 GBs.
