Pastor Ezekiel Odero, continues to leave jaws dropping to the floor- not for his ability to fill up stadiums to the brim for prayer services or miracle works- but for how much wealth his New Life Church owns.

FYI, we are not questioning how he uses the givings he receives!

After all, the good book says, ‘Give Ceasar what belongs to Ceasar and give to God what belongs to Him’. This is how tithing is also explained in addition to being obedient and honouring God with our finances.

We are, however, not allowed to question how the Church uses these monies given in tithes, offerings, special giving and planting seeds for whatever reasons.

Well, New Life Church has about three times more considering the church sits on 65 acres in Mavueni, Kilifi County.

He is renowned for attracting congregants from around East Africa and the world so the parking lot space is to his great advantage.

And when the parking lot is full, his congregants are welcome to use the helipad currently under construction in the church’s compound.

Just like visiting congregants (possibly tourists?), visitors will also be welcome to use the cottages being built in the compound if they are in the area for religious retreats.

Currently, the Christ Is The Answer Ministries is considered the wealthiest church in Kenya but it would appear that Pastor Ezekiel and his plans for his ‘mega-city’ will soon outdo the popular church as the Nation also learnt that there are plans in place to add a hospital, rehabilitation centre and university in the same church compound in addition to the international school and shops currently under construction.

Walking further into the compound sits a two-storey-long building that runs from one end to the other.

This building, believe it or not, hosts a separate executive lounge and a fully-fledged restaurant.

No moods for cooking after receiving a powerful summon that left you fulfilled but drained? You can simply walk to the restaurant and eat to your heart’s desire.

In addition to filling up stadiums and attracting honourable names to his church services, Pastor Ezekiel’s church also has a sitting capacity estimated to be more than 45,000.

The church compound also contains a residential flat, two banks and a petrol station. All this is in addition to Pastor Ezekiel selling holy handkerchiefs and holy water to believers seeking healing for various reasons.
