I’ve forgiven my wife, says man whose manhood was bitten off by his spouse

The man whose manhood was seriously injured following differences with his wife has finally given his side of the bizarre incident.

Mr Kepha Eliud Omuko, 37, who hails from Amagena in Kisii County, said he had differences with his second wife Ms Grace Njeri Oyako, 35, and a fight broke out leading to the sustained injuries.

“The two of us work together in one of the law firms here in Kisii County, that is where we met and started living together in Nyanchwa area, Kisii County,” said Mr Omuko, who is being treated at the Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital (KTRH).

Mr Omuko said he has no issues with his wife and that he has decided to forgive her for what she did.

The man said he does not understand what was used to hit his head, which was also injured.

According to the police, the incident took place on December 31, 2022, while the couple was at home after the woman accused her husband of infidelity.

The following day the woman recorded a statement with the police and she was immediately put in custody.

Mr Omuko spoke just a day after his wife appeared before Kisii Senior Principal Magistrate Caroline Ocharoa Kisii to answer to charges of causing grievous harm.

The suspect pleaded not guilty to the charges and was released on a bond of Sh50,000 with a similar surety.

The Prosecution team, led by Mr Hillary Kaino, said they had agreed with the bond terms as long as the woman is escorted by the police whenever she wants to visit the house in which the incident took place.

Mr Kaino said that the escort would be necessary for security reasons. Mr Frank Maswari, who is one of the lawyers representing Mr Omuko had opposed the bond terms saying that his client was still at risk.

The case will be mentioned on January 26, 2023.
