Jacque Maribe on relationship with Eric Omondi after Monica Kimani trial
Coming off the Not Guilty verdict of the much talked about murder trials, former news anchor Jacque Maribe has shed light on her relationship with comedian Eric Omondi and the support he gave her during the dark days.
In a candid interview with Faydee Media, she revealed that while they may have parted ways romantically, they remain good friends.
Maribe delved into the reasons behind their breakup, citing personal growth and maturity as factors that led to their decision to end their relationship.
“Eric is my friend to date. He was in a space where we were having a serious relationship. I think I had matured beyond his expectations,” Maribe disclosed during the interview.

Maribe, who recently made headlines after being acquitted in the high-profile murder case of businesswoman Monica Kimani, expressed appreciation for Omondi’s kindness towards her and their son.
She acknowledged his genuine nature but emphasised the importance of understanding each other before committing to a relationship.
“He was very nice to me. He genuinely was, I will never come out and say anything to the contrary. I think this is why it’s important to first learn somebody before you rush into something like this because I believe it was rushed,” Maribe reflected.
In a separate interview with TV47, Eric Omondi expressed his joy at seeing Maribe acquitted and extended his support to her, acknowledging the challenges she had faced over the past five years.
“The court’s decision regarding Jacque was appropriate, and many Kenyans would agree that sometimes in life, circumstances lead you to unexpected places. However, I am pleased because her family, livelihood, and child are now secure,” Omondi remarked, showcasing his solidarity with Maribe.
