Joho boosts ailing media personality Njambi Koikai’s medical fund

Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho has come to the aid of ailing Kenyan media personality Njambi Koikai with a contribution of Sh1million towards her medical fund.

Njambi had earlier on launched a campaign to help raise Sh2.1million so that she can start the last round of her treatment and therapy.

One of her campaigns is a music event set to take place on December 14, 2018 with artistes set to perform.


In addition, she has in numerous occasion sought Joho’s financial assistance. It appears her call was not left unanswered by the governor.

A grateful Njambi on Friday revealed on her Instagram account that the governor had made the big contribution.

“I want to take a moment to thank you all for your acts of kindness and especially to those who responded to my pleas to reach out to governor Hassan Joho. Mheshimiwa responded and contributed Sh1m to my fund which has gone a long way in lifting my hospital bill. Mheshimiwa thank you once more for your generosity. May God bless you,” part of Njambi’s message read.


Njambi has been suffering from Thoracic Endometriosis – a condition which causes her lungs to collapse regularly.

Njambi left Kenya in April this year for treatment in Atlanta.

She has previously informed her online followers that to have the ailment treated, she needs Sh10 million.
