Journalist Francis Gachuri comes to Etale’s defence over attack by Nasa goons
Citizen TV reporter Francis Gachuri has absolved ODM Communications Director Philip Etale from the ugly attack of journalists by Nasa goons on Tuesday.
Nasa leader Raila Odinga has since apologised to the journalists attacked Wiper Party headquarters during the Nasa parliamentary group meeting.
Mr Gachuri moved to Mr Etale’s defence after Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen and State House Director Digital Dennis Itumbi had linked him to the attack.
One more thing, it's NOT TRUE that @EtalePhilip urged on the youths to rough me up. He actually was instrumental in helping me to safety.

Mr Etale later thanked Gachuri for clearing the air on the matter.
“To my friend Francis Gachuri, thank you for your statement that has put the record straight. I was so disturbed and my family too was. God forgive me for anything irresponsible I may (have) has said or posted in anger that may have hurt anyone as a result of the incident,” he said.
He went ahead to also to say that he had forgiven them for what they had said about him.
“I forgive Dennis Itumbi and Onesimus Kipchumba Murkomen and their supporters for wrongfully waging an online attack on me. My brother Francis Gachuri, thank you for this clarification. I am now a free man, My heart has been freed and tears wiped from my eyes. May all of you have a Blessed day?”
