By EDDY KAGERA November 7th, 2017 1 min read

NTV political and parliamentary reporter Kennedy Murithi has quit the station to take up a county job.

Mr Murithi has been appointed the Communications Director for Tharaka Nithi.

The county is headed by governor Muthomi Njuki, who served as Chuka Igamba Ng’ombe Member of Parliament.

He defeated Samwel Ragwa of Narc Kenya in the August 8 election.

Mr Murithi, who will start working at the county from Friday, described the move as his “journey to new beginnings starts now with my move to the county”.

“I thank Nation for having given me a job for the last 5 years. I have worked with amazing people from whom I have learnt from. I have worked with great journalists and bosses who have encouraged me on my journey,” he said.

Mr Murithi rose to fame in 2014 after he was shut down by Nasa principal Kalonzo Musyoka with the infamous phrase “your name betrays you”.

Mr Musyoka later apolgised and said he had had tea with the reporter.
