Karen Nyamu surprise wedding gift to Akothee
Nominated Senator Karen Nyamu gifted singer Akothee a surprise bedroom gift on her wedding day.
Nyamu who was dressed in a hot pink outfit asked the couple to open the gift during their honeymoon and only when they are alone.
Thanking her for the invitation, Nyamu disclosed that she is often referred to as the Akothee of Central, a title she does not mind.
“We live our truth and have no apologies and bear clean hearts. This gift is for the bedroom when you have relaxed and are in the mood, you open this and remember me,” she said as the crowd laughed.
Nyamu, an outspoken lawmaker, who is never far from controversy, also noted she is not called to events due to what people think of her.
Akothee born Esther Akoth Kokeyo wedded her lover Dennis Schweizer in an invite-only wedding that saw politicians and the who and who in the Kenyan scene attend from media personalities to content creators.

Wedding on her birthday was a dream that she finally actualized on 10th April 2023.
The Sweet Love hitmaker announced she was off the market in a video where she was seen frolicking on the sand at a beach shore in Mombasa with her muzungu bae.
She captioned, “Sawa basi, It’s yeeeeeeeeees Someone tell my mum atoke tuu church aende home (tell her to stop praying in church and go home). I went for a lunch date in Mombasa shortly.”

In an interview last year, Akothee revealed that she met her mzungu lover through a long-time friend named Pius.
“I have a friend named Pius from Switzerland whom I have known for 13 years…When I was still in France, Pius called me and told me he had a friend who wanted to do business in Kenya. We had a video call and I explained to his friend – who is now Omosh – about my touring business which he was interested in. Everything was pure business,” she revealed.
