Kasarani murder: Police probe naked body found tied and stabbed in river
Police in Nairobi County are currently investigating a chilling incident in Kasarani Sub-County, where the lifeless body of a woman was discovered dumped in a river.
The victim, found naked and tightly bound in a sack, had apparent stab wounds on her neck, according to a police report obtained by Nairobi News.
The grim discovery unfolded as officers initially thought the sack contained discarded luggage, only to unveil the horrifying truth of the woman’s remains concealed within.
The river, which courses through Kasarani, Lucky Summer, towards Githurai, served as the clandestine dumping ground for the victim.
“The body was then taken to City Mortuary along Ngong Road awaiting postmortem,” the police report stated.

Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) are currently working to identify the victim, taking her fingerprints for this purpose.
Nairobi County Police Boss Mr Adamson Bungei urged individuals who have recently lost family members to come forward and help identify the deceased.
Simultaneously, DCI officers are delving into another disturbing case within Kasarani Sub-County involving the body of a 17-year-old minor.
The student from Clay City Secondary School had gone missing on January 8, 2023, with the tragic discovery of his lifeless body occurring two days later in Kamkonde Dam.
Upon retrieval last week, investigators noted physical injuries on the minor’s body.
The parents of the deceased had earlier reported his disappearance, prompting the ongoing investigation into whether he was killed before being disposed of in the dam.
“Officers want to establish whether the deceased was killed elsewhere before his body was dumped inside the dam,” a police officer, speaking on condition of anonymity, shared with Nairobi News.
The body of the minor has been transferred to Kenyatta University mortuary, awaiting a comprehensive autopsy as authorities intensify efforts to unravel the circumstances surrounding both cases.
