Kenneth: Miguna is a broke guy who once begged me for financial assistance

Nairobi gubernatorial aspirant Peter Kenneth has sensationally claimed that his political rival Miguna Miguna harbours a grudge against for failing to facilitate his financial request.

Kenneth and Miguna, alongside Jubilee Party’s Mike Mbuvi Sonko are the three main aspirants seeking to unseat Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero in the August 8 polls.

In his bid to become the next Governor of Nairobi, Miguna has gone on an offensive onslaught against Kidero, Sonko and Kenneth.

He has repeatedly accused the trio of several improprieties, most of which border on defamation and libel.

BROKE AND BITTER

But in a response to these outbursts, Kenneth on Thursday night – while appearing as a guest on a political talk show on national TV – hinted that Miguna was a broke and bitter person.

“He came to my office begging for money to campaign. Since I didn’t give it to him, he resorted to repeated insults. I choose to ignore him,” Kenneth said without substantiating.

Miguna and Kenneth will both be contesting as Independent aspirants.

Kenneth has in the meantime promised to provide free and clean water to every slum dwelling resident of  Nairobi if elected.
