Kenya, Italy match moved to Nyayo stadium

The match between Kenya U-20 and visiting Italian U-18 side has been moved from Kasarani to Nyayo Stadium to allow fans access the venue easily.

The change of venue has been attributed to the accessibility of Nyayo Stadium by many fans as opposed to Kasarani which is a bit far from the City center.

“We wish to inform all our football lovers that the Kenya U-20 v Italy match scheduled for Kasarani on Wednesday (April 16, 2014) will now be played at Nyayo Stadium starting 4pm.

“Taking into consideration that it is a week day the new venue will be easily accessible to all our fans. “Ticket sales will start on Wednesday at the venue as from 8.00am costing Sh1, 000/- for VIP and Sh200 for terraces.

“All fans are urged to come in large numbers to watch the fancied Azzuri play our Junior Harambee Stars in the first ever European international friendly played in Kenyan soil,” said a statement from the match organisers.

The Italian side will also play the Gor Mahia u- 19 side on Friday afternoon at the same venue before leaving the country on Saturday.
