Kenya Railways owns up to overcharging Nairobi commuters
Kenya Railways Corporation (KRC) says it has been overcharging its customers in Nairobi who have been using their services to beat the city traffic.
The company owned up to the error unprompted and promised to reimburse its customers.
“To our Esteemed Customers, we have noted that A-card holders who use our services from Imara Daima and Makadara railway stations are deducted Sh60 when boarding from Nairobi station erroneously,” tweeted the corporation.
“We have taken corrective action and the situation has been rectified. We shall credit each A-card holder with the amount they have been overcharged from the time of purchase up to 31st.”
KRC, however, did not say for how long it had been overcharging its customers.
