The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) is set to launch a web-based TV station on Monday October 3. The station, dubbed KRA TV, will offer simplified tax and customs content in a bid to enhance tax compliance across the country.

According to a statement released by the authority, the station is set to host tax awareness activities including tax talks and other tax related education programs.

“The ‘KRA TV’ platform will be hosted on KRA website and drive a demand-based viewership. The station will host customized tax content that the public may consume at their convenience,” the authority said in a statement issued by the Deputy Commissioner, Marketing and Communication, Grace Wandera.

The TV channel will have scheduled lie programming of tax awareness activities including Tax Talks, Tax Thursdays and Stori za Ushuru among other simplified downloadable tax content.

The unveiling coincides with the launch of the 2022 Taxpayers’ Month, an annual event organized to appreciate compliant taxpayers and culminated by a Taxpayers Award Ceremony and Luncheon hosted in honour of distinguished taxpayers.
