Kenyan defender Cheche wins America’s second division title – PHOTOS
Kenya international David “Cheche” Ochieng has won a major title in professional football in America.
The 26 year-old won the 2016 North American Soccer League title last weekend with his club New York Cosmos.
The title is a major achievement for the player who is now the first Kenyan to win a professional title in the USA.

Cheche, a senior member of Harambee Stars, opted out of the ongoing national team assignments against Mozambique and Liberia so as to compete in his club’s crucial fixtures.
The former Nairobi Stima and Tusker FC defender has in the past been linked with a move to Europe, with clubs in Sweden and Denmark known to be particularly interested.
