The fashion designer further argues that most of them show up in ‘low budget outfits’, explaining why she never honors invites to some events.

“That’s why I have not shown up in any that invited me, and I’ll be there wasting my outfit, my class, entertaining mediocrity.

Y’all can’t invest in your own image! Like y’all being stingy in spending on your own self. Some low-budget outfits, shoes, etc,” read Melina’s post.

She added, “Hii Kenya vile mnavaa in these award events waaah! What in the hell is this!!”

Melina becomes the second renowned fashion mogul to criticize Kenyan celebrities for their fashion sense.

Earlier this year, fashion influencer Shorn Arwa viciously criticized how celebrities were dressed for a Fenty event that saw Fenty products debut in the Kenyan beauty market.

According to Shorn Arwa, many celebrities who graced the event left their fans disappointed in how they were dressed, which did not do justice to the international makeup brand.
