Why Kenyans are crushing on this ‘Kabogo grass’
Kenyans on Twitter are awe-struck by the green space where outgoing Kiambu governor William Kabogo conceded defeat.
The incumbent, who was vying as an independent, lost to Kikuyu MP Ferdinand Waititu. He convened a press conference at his home in Kigwa Gardens near Windsor Hotel where he conceded defeat.
But what struck Kenyans on Twitter was not his kind words for Mr Waititu but how green the grass was.
His seat was perched on well-manicured grass that was accessorized by a montage of flora in the background.
On the wall was what looks like a humidifier in the background.
User Tim Rimbui made the first observation in a cheeky comment on Twitter. The post got more than 400 retweets and 300-plus likes.
