This is why Kenyans are upset with Anita Nderu
Kenyans on social media are outraged by Capital FM’s decision to hand Anita Nderu the job of hosting of the station’s popular evening show Hits not Homework.
This after it emerged that a talent search meant to unveil the new host of show, following the departure of former host Amina Abdi, would count for nothing after all.
The radio station in September 2017 launched the talent search that was supposed to culminate in the announcement of the new host.
The ideal candidate for the job was supposed to be between the age of 19 and 25 years, with no prior experience, ‘just be dope’, the station had announced.

But now it seems all that was a facade with Anita, who was one of the judges in the talent search, already taken the job.
Having burst the bubble of the hopeful six finalists, Capital FM has also removed the page that was advertising and updating competitors.
Here is how Kenyans on Twitter have reacted to Anita’s Hits not Homework saga:
Anita Nderu saga epitomizes what happens in Government agencies and private sectors with respect to employment. Candidates already employed and the adverts are a mere Human Resource requirements for Audit purposes. @CapitalFMKenya

Tell US why you were picked for a job you appeared as a judge??

So I have been looking at this story of Anita Nderu. Apparently she was a judge at the @CapitalFMKenya ‘s auditions and she was later awarded the job instead of those hundreds of youths who were auditioning for the job. Such a dream killer and cold hearted woman pic.twitter.com/OKbvA8ADFt

NB: I’m not saying Anita Nderu is going to do a terrible job, she’s awesome at what she does. I was just hoping fresh talent would be given a chance. Hata labda they could co-host?

Lmao, so wait. I love Anita Nderu to death, but lol. Why did they ask people to audition if they knew damn well that the position was already taken. And wasn’t she there like a “mentor/observer” or something?
