Kidero:Money mafia control the city

Powerful cartels have taken over Nairobi, rendering the Governor and his chief officers lame ducks, NairobiNews can reveal today.

As a result, residents suffer frequent water shortages, cannot buy property for fear of being swindled by land sharks and are forever grappling with poor services.

Governor Evans Kidero and former Town Clerk Philip Kisia admitted in a candid interview that cartels had infiltrated almost every sector in the county.

They were behind the wanton grabbing of public land and road reserves, the double allocation of plots, illegal water connections and the county government’s bloated ghost work force.
