Kidero’s new trick on floods as El Nino rains persist
Nairobi governor Evans Kidero has now sent engineers in every sub-county to coordinate responses to flooding as heavy rains continue pounding the city.
Governor Kidero released the names of engineers on the county’s website and advised city residents to contact them in case of flooding.
“This team will resolve any issues in your area. Do not hesitate to get in touch with them,” Dr Kidero said in a press statement.
In August, county deployed 400 youth in South C to unclog blocked drainage systems.
Unlike during the May/June rains when several parts of the city suffered flooding, lives were lost and property destroyed, this time no major incident has been reported so far.
