Kivutha Kibwana blasts Kalonzo Musyoka over Yatta farm security

Former Makueni governor Kivutha Kibwana on Thursday, April 20, 2023, claimed that Kalonzo Musyoka, the leader of Wiper Party and the presumed Kamba land kingpin, had used unorthodox means to enslave his community.

In his statement, Kibwana claimed Kalonzo gave away his activities in his speech at a recent political rally at the Kamukunji grounds in Nairobi.

He said this as a caption to a snippet video of Kalonzo’s speech where he said, “Now, listen to me. He said ‘This man Kalonzo’s home is Seikuru, he wasn’t born like Gachagua the way he likes bragging. When you get to Yatta, you won’t come back; and the second time, you will keep circulating the farm and your work will be feeding the cows and goats and you will be a slave forever’. So you must know that Kenyans from all corners stand with us,” said Kalonzo in the video.

In his full speech, Kalonzo Musyoka had been speaking about an unnamed political opponent who had allegedly been planning the raid of his Yatta Farm in Machakos County, alleging that it was the same people accused of planning and carrying out the Northlands farm raid, the property of former president Uhuru Kenyatta’s family.

Over Sh 70 million worth of sheep was stolen from the farm but in the following days, it was reported that the thieves returned animals worth Sh 900,000 to the farm.

Prior to what Kivutha shared in the video snippet, Kalonzo had said, “When they were done stealing the sheep belonging to Mama Ngina, they said they would go to Yatta to take more from Kalonzo. But one of them sent a message and told them that the place is protected by angels.”

As Kivutha Kibwana claimed that Kalonzo Musyoka partook in supernatural activities, the Wiper Party leader ironically began his speech by praising God and telling the charged crowd that they had just been from church; and occasionally invoked God’s name in his speech.

Kalonzo and Kivutha Kibwana recently had a political fallout.
