The three nurses and a cleaner are to be charged for the murder of Cosmas Kenyatta Mutunga, a 42 year-old cancer patient who was found in a pool of blood in Ward 8C on November 29, 2015.

The death of the father of four has seen the Ministry of Health promise it will mount CCTV cameras at the hospital as part of new security measures.

On Monday, the nurses vowed not to go to work until their colleagues are released unconditionally.

They also called for the removal of their union’s officials for failing to protect their rights. They called on their colleagues across the country to join them in boycotting work.
