Koome’s advice on staying safe on city streets upsets Nairobians

Kenyans on Twitter are not happy with Nairobi Police boss Japheth Koome’s suggestion that city residents should stop looking ‘enticing’ to criminal gangs that have been terrorizing individuals.

Mr Koome is reported to have advised Nairobians on how to stay safe in the wake of the increasing insecurity in the city.

According to Nasa head of Communication Philip Etale, among the recommendations of the police boss is for city dwellers to walks in groups especially in the evening and avoid looking “enticing”.

Etale’s tweet elicited angry responses from KOT who also expressed their shock at the police’s words.
