How KOT reacted to Rosemary Odinga’s decision to bow out of Kibra race
Rosemary Odinga’s announcement that she has bowed out of the Kibra Constituency race has been met with mixed reaction by Kenyans on Twitter.
Ms Odinga, who is recuperating from a bout of stroke in South Africa, made the announcement on Monday through her Facebook page citing her health for the decision.
She however promised to support whoever wins the Kibra parliamentary seat.
“It is following my doctor’s advice, that for the time being, I will continue serving my community in other capacities and regrettably bow out of the race for Member of Parliament. I would like to thank each and every person that supported my bid and the people of Kibra for opening their hearts and homes to me. I will forever cherish your outpouring love and prayers,” wrote Ms Odinga as part of her video caption.
Netizens wished her well on her journey to full recovery while others congratulated her for the bold move.
Good move by Rosemary Odinga. It would heve been imprimptic to grimple & frimple for the seat against assiduous & sedulous Ken Okoth.
