KWS pays Nonini for park promo
Rapper Nonini must have had a good festive season, after Kenya Wildlife Service used one of his songs to do a TV commercial. The animated advert used the lyrics of Wee Kamu (You come) urging Kenyans to visit national parks and other tourist sites in the country during the festive season.
Nonini confirmed that the deal between KWS and him was for a short period.
“I only signed a deal for five weeks, if they want to renew, we can always agree on an extension to enable them to continue airing the TV commercial,” Nonini told Nairobi News.
He however did not reveal how much he was paid to do so.
