Firearm cache discovered in house rented to British national

A landlady in Nairobi on Friday found a cache of firearm and military gear in a house she had rented to a British national in Lavington.

The owner of the house who is a German citizen had rented the house to the Briton she identified as Collins Andre Aglae in 1996.

The tenant defaulted on his rent in 2015 and the landlady went and got court order to break in to the house in order to recover what she could.

When she went to the main bedroom she stumbled on 5 boxes of 9mm ammunition inside the wardrobe.

INVESTIGATIONS

According to a police report, the woman who was accompanied by her advocate, reported what they had found at Muthangari police station.

Senior police officers from both Muthangari and Dagoreti stations visited the house where they found a gun silencer, 2 bullet proof vests, a military helmet and over 1400 assorted caliber of ammunition.

Police also recovered gun manuals, gun cleaning tools, military bullet belt, lesser, 2 riffle scores, several safes, several packets of pyrazinamide tablets and gun video games.

Police have launched investigations as they look for the British national who had rented the house.
